Born and bred in the north-west, Richard specialises in character work and accents. Originally trained as an actor, Richard is also an accomplished puppeteer and physical performer. His work has taken him all over the world, with such companies as The National Theatre [War Horse], Kate Bush [Before the Dawn], The Glyndeborne Opera [Die Zauberflote], and Plan B [In the Name of Man] to name a few.
Richard’s natural deep northern accent has a diverse tone, which can range from authoritative and commanding, to friendly and happy-go-lucky. He can be your army commander, villain or best friend – sometimes all three at once!
